Frankfurt Airport is currently undertaking a major aircraft stand redesign project. This includes the analysis of over 200 aircraft stands, a 100 of which needs to be redesigned to some degree to meet EASA regulations.
We are joined by Airport Planners Luise Melzer and Tobias Pinzl from Fraport, the operator of Frankfurt Airport. During the webinar Luise and Tobias will:

About the presenters
Tobias Pinzl, Airport Planner, Fraport
Tobias graduated with a master’s degree in transportation engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. During his studies he specialized in aviation management and airport planning. working as an airport planner for Fraport, the operator of Frankfurt Airport. Currently he is the responsible project manager for the redesign of aircraft stands at Frankfurt Airport. |
Luise Melzer, Airport Planner, Fraport
Luise studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt and graduated in the subjects of solid construction, geotechnics and traffic planning. Since 2006 she’s working at Frankfurt Airport at the department for Airside Facilities. In her department they are responsible for planning, maintaining and building new infrastructure on the apron. She is currently supporting the redesign project. |
